Cool, breezy and foggy yet sunny and moderate, this appellation brings out the vibrant juicy style and expressive fruit that is built into this variety. In addition, this vineyard is planted to the Musque clone of Sauvignon Blanc which is known for it emphasis on stone fruit and tropical fruit characters.
We find it is impossible to talk about Sauvignon Blanc without talking also about food because the two are so compatible. Heirloom tomatoes, scallions, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, salad greens, figs, pears, apples, peaches, melon, fish, crab, scallops, prosciutto, herb pasta, goat cheese, olives, and chicken and the various combinations thereof are all great matches for this no-oak style of Sauvignon Blanc.
Grapefruit, nectarine, melon, and papaya accent the smooth, fresh, juicy moutfeel leaving a clean mouthwatering finish of fig and apricot.
Keep a bottle ready in the fridge at all times for this spring and summer’s menus.
