| INTRODUCING
OUR NEW SYRAH LABEL -
HILL CLIMBER, Rockaway Vineyard.
For the
past few years we have been working on securing top-quality Syrah grapes,
a grape we think has a great future in California - especially in the
coastal mountains where the soils are rocky and steep. This is the ideal
type of location for bring out the best characteristics of Syrah.
We have been very fortunate in being able to establish farming arrangements
with several top growers with vineyards located on sites that we think
will produce Americaís greatest Syrahs. Our debut release featuring
a completely new Tony Auston label design and package will be from the
Rockaway Vineyard in the Alexander Valley Mountains overlooking the Russian
River. Itís a fabulous Syrah. Just 300 six-bottle packs were produced
for the entire world. We plan to introduce a spectacular second HILL CLIMBER
vineyard bottling from Napa next year under a designation to be revealed
later.
If you would like to get in on the limited initial offering, which is
coming soon, please contact us to be on the separate HILL CLIMBER Buyers
List. Because of the extremely limited quantities and a highest quality
reputation, these will be difficult wines to obtain except directly through
our list. Click the link below to sign up today!
Rockaway Vineyard
Alexander Valley. Showing the kind of fruity concentration and
richness that often mark the dramatic Zinfandels of Biale, this bold,
impressively filled Syrah is long on spice and blackberries with more
than a little oak scattered along its length. Very ripe, yet surprisingly
well-balanced considering its 15% alcohol, the wine holds heat to a minimum
and finishes with just a touch of tannic dryness. Effusive though it may
be even now, it should be even better after a few years' wait.
