A wine with massive mid-palate, black and blue fruit, sweet tannins, and velvety texture such as this inspires awe. This state-of-the-art Petite is opaque in color and saturated with dusty blueberry, raspberry preserve and currant fruit, notes of sea salt, charcoal, beef jerky, roasted beet, tar, anise, and toasted pecan. Fat, lush, warm and textural on the palate, this is an immensely satisfying wine for hedonists who appreciate a decadent and mouth-filling sensory experience with food … or without. Anticipated drinking range: 2013 to 2030. 378 cases produced.
$51.00  / Bottle
2010 Basic Black. Imagine pomegranate and strawberry braised with Provencal herbs; a fresh ocean breeze with madrone, pine, and oak trees. Velvety and voluptuous softness, a ripe peach-like roundness and built on an airy, sculpted tannin frame. This classy, complex, crowd-pleasing new-world blend excites all the old world red wine-lovers’ palates: the Bordeaux geeks, the Burgundy nerds, the Italia-philes, and the Spanish nuts. Basic Black: perfectly-suited and always in style. Anticipated drinking range: 2013 to 2020.
$39.00  / Bottle
Petite Sirah builds in richness, textural fatness and lower notes. Rich red and ripe black fruit, dark spices, dusty dried flowers, fine leather, high-toned herb, a gentle grip, and lasting finish. Napa Valley at its sophisticated best. Anticipated drinking range: 2013 to 2020.
$46.00  / Bottle
This new 2010 Vintage comes on the heels of the immensely well-received 2009 vintage that sold out so quickly last year. The 2010 was a lighter crop that yielded an even more concentrated version of Calistoga Petite Sirah — if you can fathom that! Stones, minerals, graphite notes abound in the nose and are underlain by indelible vivid flourishes of dark blue fruit: Crushed Blueberry, boysenberry pie; apricot preserves, dried flowers, anise, tree bark, black tea, molasses and roasted nuts. The immense and fat fruit supported by a rock-solid foundation is a hedonistic pleasure now and promises that it will live on for 10-15 years under requisite cellar conditions. Take good care of your collectible classic wines such as this.

The new traditional Port method 2010 Robert Biale Vineyards Petite Sirah Red Dessert Wine.
Vintage 2010 was very kind to Petite Sirah and this huge new 2010 is loaded with gobs of blackberry and blueberry, with notes of licorice, chocolate and toffee.
$56.00  / Bottle
The 2011 is one gorgeous “Chicken” and is right on the money: lush and dark fruits of blackberry, berry pie, black cherry, white pepper, peppermint, molasses, Oreo cookie, turmeric, vanilla, clove and nutmeg. A mouth-wetting snap of acidity balances the round and ripe fruit, and the thin-skinned Zinfandel tannins propel the wine into an elegant and impressive big Pinot Noir style. We expect that this Black Chicken has an optimal drinking range from 2013–2020.

$42.00  / Bottle
Blackberries, ripe red berries, plum preserves, crushed rock, toffee, oatmeal cookie, prune/raisin, brown spices, espresso, and toast. Silky, nuanced, finely-balanced, and elegant, Founding Farmers possesses the hallmarks that built Napa Valley’s reputation for world-class quality. Anticipated drinking range: 2013 to 2020.
$35.00  / Bottle
Bill Moore's vineyard on Hagen Road in Napa is historically significant in California agriculture. It is listed on the Registry of Historic Vineyards and genetic material from the vines is part of U.C. Davis' Heritage Vineyard Zinfandel project. Today's existing ten acres were planted in 1905.
$50.00  / Bottle
The 2011 season coaxed a ton of hedonistic Zinfandel goodness from the vines on Rocky Ridge. Dark in color, loaded with black fruit — firm grainy tannins, boysenberry tart, ripe blackberry, crushed raspberry, pepper, minerally stone, roasted beet, fig, walnut, dark cocoa, toffee. Juicy acidity ties the whole tight package together in a firm knot. This will be a long-term Zinfandel with a drinking range from 2013 to 2023.

$50.00  / Bottle
The perfectly-balanced 2011 Varozza shows all the nuanced and seductive attributes we have come to identify with St. Helena, Napa Valley's oldest appellation: fine-grained and ripe tannins, mid-palate richness, juicy black fruit flavors reminiscent of ripe blackberry, raspberry jam, plum/dried plum, toffee, charcoal, licorice, dusty stone and graphite and a pleasantly broad and lingering finish that echoes the aromas. Classic, polished, Napa Valley Zinfandel at its best. 416 cases produced.
